Sunday Ride

The regular Sunday ride is the original social ride conducted by BWW.

The ride leaves from the Wagga Beach at 2:00PM or at 9:00AM during Daylight Savings. Be there a bit earlier to ensure you are ready to roll at the nominated time.

We go for about 2 hours and finish at Scribbles Cafe in Fitzmaurice Street for coffee, cake and conversation.

Coffee Grinds

The Coffee Grinds is a ride of between 30 to 40 kilometres, although some people have been further, on a Wednesday morning. Meet so that you are ready to depart at 9:00AM from the Kooringal Mall on Lake Albert Road. Generally you are back for morning tea around 11:00AM.

B4 Breakfast Ride

The B4 Breakfast ride is on Saturdays and leaves from the Kooringal Mall. Meet ready to leave at 7:30am for the majority of the year. Meet at 7:00am during the summer months, December, January and February.

The riders enjoy a lap around the Gregadoo Loop followed by breakfast at the Cafe back at the Mall. For most of the year the ride goes in a clockwise direction. However, for a small portion of the year, from the first Saturday in February until the end of Daylight Savings the direction is anticlockwise due to the likelihood of the sun being in the eyes of drivers travelling east along Inglewood Road causing an unacceptable safety risk.

The Fat Tyred Ride

The Fat Tyred Ride is a ride that requires a bike with fat tyres. Held mainly on tracks and cycleways there is little interaction with traffic however some of the terrain requires that you use a bike with fat tyres. A mountain bike is ideal however a hybrid or touring bike with fat tyres would do the job but it’s definitely not a ride to take a road bike on.

The ride is definitely held on the first Sunday of each month. Fat Tyred Rides may be available on other Sundays. Confirmation of this may be made by calling David Neil on 02 6971 7778 or joining the Bicycle Wagga Wagga Facebook community group.

The ride leaves from the Wagga Beach at 2:00PM or at 9:00AM during Daylight Savings. Be there a bit earlier to ensure you are ready to roll at the nominated time.

The Long Ride

The Long Ride is a road ride of about 100km. There are a number of loop rides available so it’s a good way to get out and about the local area. This ride is held on the second Sunday of the month. The starting venue and time varies from month to month.

The MTB Ride

A bit more adventurous than the Fat Tyred Ride The MTB Ride requires a mountain bike (MTB) and is held at Pomingalarna Park. It is held on the third Saturday of the month and participants meet at 1:30 PM in the carpark of the Wagga City Golf Club.

Pomingalarna Park has an array of MTB tracks that will suit anyone with skills ranging from the novice to the expert. The hard and fast expert mountain biker may prefer to ride with MTB Wagga so these rides are aimed at people that just want to get out and enjoy the traffic free bush environment with enough technical stuff to test them. It’s also a good way to become familiar with various tracks if you are new to the area.
